A mild-mannered archaeologist unknowingly descended from an ancient alien god-race discovers he can inherit superhuman powers, including flight, by donning a golden ceremonial mask. A masked villain seeks to steal the mask for himself, using its mind-control power over a subjugated henchman to try to seize dominion over the world, forcing the reluctant new hero into action.
