A woman investigating her father's mysterious death at an ancient Mayan pyramid uncovers evidence that a vengeful, invisible spirit unleashed from the ruins is responsible, and as she and one of her father's colleagues dig deeper into the entity's origins, it begins killing off everyone who gets too close in increasingly gruesome fashion.
