A mother goat leaves her seven young kids home alone with strict orders not to let anyone in, but a cunning wolf disguises his voice and paws to trick his way inside and devours six of them, sparing only the youngest, who hides in a clock case. When the mother returns, she cuts the kids free from the sleeping wolf's belly, fills it with stones, and the wolf drowns trying to drink from a well.
