Café owner Mike Clancy buys a supposedly haunted mountain house on his doctor's advice, and the Bowery Boys tag along to help him settle in, only to discover a stash of hidden cash left behind by the house's former gangster owner. When the gangster's old associates come looking for the money, the boys have to contend with both the crooks and the house's spooky reputation.
