Dirk Benedict plays a shell-shocked Vietnam vet who's harassed by local bullies after wandering into a small Southern town, then flees into the woods where a sympathetic widow, played by Linda Blair, takes him in. When the townsmen hunt him down, he uses his military training to turn the tables and pick them off one by one.
