Italian large-format poster for Ishirō Honda’s groundbreaking 1956 kaiju classic Rodan (Il Mostro Alato), the first Toho monster film to be shot in color. This dramatic 2-Fogli design captures the terror and spectacle of Honda’s vision, as the winged creature rises from the depths to devastate Japan. Two distribution variants of this poster exist, both sharing the same artwork: one bears the small blue “ARDIN” slug at upper left (as seen on this example), while the other carries a different distributor credit in the same box. The ARDIN-slug version is scarcer and highly sought after by collectors. Striking large-format imagery and vivid color printing make this one of the most visually powerful European posters issued for any Toho monster release of the 1950s.
