An elderly man dies on his own wedding night before the marriage can even be consummated, and at his funeral two other women turn up, each claiming to be his abandoned legal wife from earlier marriages. When the will is finally read, all three "widows" discover he also fathered a child with his cook, and must wait years before any of them sees a peso of the inheritance.
