This is the highly collectible September 1948 issue of Fantastic Novels Magazine. It features one of the most famous, wildly memorable, and visually unique covers of the entire pulp era—a striking "Good Girl" art masterpiece painted by legendary illustrator Lawrence Sterne Stevens (signing as "Lawrence") to anchor A. Merritt’s foundational classic, "The Conquest of the Moon Pool".
The front cover retains vivid, bright colours with the iconic cover art largely intact, but shows notable wear including corner blunting, edge wear. The back cover displays toning, and edge wear. The spine shows rolling and stress lines consistent with heavy reading use.
