James Newill plays the singing Mountie Sergeant Renfrew, a hero created by novelist Laurie York Erskine, who tracks down criminals operating in the Canadian wilderness with the help of an airplane in this entry in the low-budget "Renfrew" series. Directed by Ralph Staub, it's a B-picture programmer aimed squarely at Saturday matinee crowds, mixing musical numbers with frontier action in the mold of the singing-cowboy pictures popular at the time.
