Abby Dalton leads a band of Viking women who set out to sea in search of their husbands, missing since a previous voyage, only to be shipwrecked on an island terrorized by a giant sea serpent and ruled by a hostile tribe of men. Susan Cabot and Brad Jackson round out the cast in this cheerfully cheap Roger Corman production for American International, which recycles the same seafaring miniatures and monster-in-a-lake aesthetic Corman favored throughout the late '50s.
