A crew stationed at an experimental deep-sea military base accidentally uncovers and unleashes a massive, ancient prehistoric creature while clearing a site for a nuclear missile launch platform. As the creature begins picking off the crew one by one and their base starts to fail under the crushing ocean pressure, the survivors must find a way to escape to the surface before it's too late.
