With Kong destroyed and facing ruinous lawsuits back in New York, showman Carl Denham flees to the Dutch East Indies and returns to Skull Island in search of treasure, accompanied by a young stowaway. There they discover a smaller albino ape, "Little Kong," who becomes their ally against the island's prehistoric predators before sacrificing himself when the island sinks into the sea. RKO's rushed sequel to King Kong, released the same year as the original.
