A European space shuttle crew discovers three humanoid bodies in suspended animation aboard a derelict alien craft hidden inside Halley's Comet. Brought back to Earth, the awakened female alien turns out to be a space vampire who drains victims of their life force, spreading an epidemic of the newly infected across London as the military scrambles to stop her. Directed by Tobe Hooper from a Dan O'Bannon script, with visual effects work by John Dykstra of Star Wars fame.
