A failed, embittered sculptor rescues a disfigured, brutish killer known as "the Creeper" from drowning and uses him to murder the art critics who ruined his career, until the Creeper turns on his own creator upon learning he's about to be handed over to the police. Universal horror B-picture built around real-life actor Rondo Hatton, whose disfiguring medical condition (acromegaly) was used without prosthetics to play the monster.
